"ومصر اليوم أمام مفترق طريق، قد يكون الأهم فى تاريخها الحديث، والذين يخشون أن مصر ستصبح دولة دينية، أحب أن أطمـنهم بأن مصر بالفعل دولة دينية، منذ أن تحجبت %90 من سيدات مصر، ومنذ أن إلتحى %50 من شباب مصر، ومنذ أن ظهر الزبيب على جباه معظم رجال مصر، ومنذ أن تحولت مساجد مصر إلى منابر سياسية، ومنذ أن تحولت مكاتب مصر إلى مساجد جزئية، فالخوف من تحول مصر إلى دولة دينية لا أساس له، لأنها بالفعل وفى الشارع وفى المكاتب والمدارس والقرى والنجوع أصبحت دولة دينية، والتعصب للدين لم يقتصر فقط على المسلمين ولكنه امتد أيضا إلى المسيحيين، ومعظم إستطلاعات الرأى العالمية أثبتت أن المصريين هم أكثر شعوب الأرض تدينا، تفوقوا فى هذا على الإيرانيين والسعوديين والباكستانيين وبالطبع على الأتراك. ولا ضرر فى هذا لأن الدين فى جوهره يحض فى المقام الأول على مكارم الأخلاق، أما الدين فى مظهرة فهو مجرد حجاب وجلباب ونقاب ولحية وزبيبة وصليب.
وتعالوا نستعرض معا، أى النماذج حولنا سوف تكون الأقرب إلى مصر ما بعد ثورة 25 يناير: تركيا – إيران – باكستان – الصومال".
