كان فوز "محمد البرادعى" ووكالته (بجائزة نوبل للسلام عن العام 2005م) مفاجأة من العيار الثقيل, مفرحة ولاشك, تجفف عن جباهنا عريقات النصب, وترطب قسمات الأسى التى ما برحت تلتئم فى خطوط تعسة تهفو الى رسم الكلمة ذات المعنى. ولكن الأخير تستعصى وإن لانت, وتستقصى وإن دنت. ثم, ومن دون سابق انذار, يستحيل خط البؤس خيطا منيرا فى فرح غامر.. فرح من هذا؟.. من العريس؟.. ومن العروس؟!.. لتخرج أمه, تسبقها زغاريد المهنئات, إنه ابنى الكبير.. الفلاح الفصيح.. الأشيب, الأصلع, مصرى الملامح, لاتخطئه العين.. وسامته فى فراسته.. وجماله فى كماله. ثروته فى ثرائه وتراثه. مرتفع الهامة, عالي الهمة.. أنجز المهمة فأبدع وأثلج صدر أمه.. فهنيئا لأمك بك.. بكرها وكبيرها.
أما لماذا كان فوز الوكالة الدولية للطاقة النووية مفاجأة, فلأن ذلك يأتى تماما على غير هوى الأمريكان, بعكس ما أشيع من أن صفقة حاضرة فى خلفية الجائزة. فالأمريكان كانوا دائما يفضلون منظمات ضعيفة تسير فى ركابهم, ترى ما يرونه وتفعل ما يريدون لا أن تقف حجر عثرة أمام مشاريعهم الاستعمارية الجديدة, مثلما وقف مجلس الأمن ضد غزو العراق, وكذلك فريق الإنموفيك ومفتشو وكالة الطاقة (تقرير "بليكس والبرادعى" فى 28 يناير و14 فبراير من العام 2003, وهما التقريران اللذان أطلقا 15 مليون متظاهر إلى الشوارع ضد الحرب على العراق), ومثلما فعلت منظمات البيئة فى قضية الاحتباس الحرارى. الواضح إذن أن دعم وكالة الطاقة لتلك الجائزة هو رغبة أوروبية صرفة, الغرض منه زرع المتاريس الأخلاقية المرفدة بتقدير دولي (نوبل) فى طريق الثور الأمريكى الهائج.
