مما لا شك فيه أن الكتاب كما سيتبين للقارئ الكريم منذ الوهلة الأولى معالجة فلسفية شديدة العمق والشمول لكل أجزاء الموضوعات التي تطرق إليها المؤلف. وقد صاغ كتابه في لغة عويصة، يكثر فيها من الجمل الاعتراضية، والجمل المتشابكة الطويلة التي ليس للقارئ العربي عهد بها في الكتابة. ويستخدم المؤلف أيضًا كثيرًا من المصطلحات الفلسفية والمنطقية والنفسية، ويكثر كذلك من الاقتباسات، والهوامش التي تشكل أكثر من خمس الكتاب. ناهيك عن التعليقات على النصوص والاقتباسات والمصطلحات والآراء. ومن الملاحظ أيضًا أن المؤلف يعدل عن الاستعمالات المألوفة، ويصطنع (أو يبتدع) صيغًا واستعمالات لا وجود لها في القواميس والمراجع المختصة.
كل هذا يؤكد أني شققت على نفسي مرتين، الأولى حين شرعت في ترجمة هذا الكتاب العسير، والثانية حين عزمت على إكمال ما بدأت لأهمية الكتاب، فلا يخلو كتاب في البحث اللغوي الحديث من إشارة إن لم يكن أكثر من ذلك إلى مواضع مهمة فيه. وتظل هذه الترجمة في رأيي محاولة لفهم ما أراد المترجم إيصاله. وربما تؤدي مراجعة لهذه المحاولة إلى صياغة أخرى وفهم آخر لدلالات مفردات المؤلف وجمله التي صاغ فيها أفكاره وتصوراته.
