ويضم هذا الكتاب بعض المفاهيم الخاصة بالتخلف الإقتصادي والتنمية الإقتصادية والبشرية التي تفيد الإخصائيين والباحثين الإجتماعيين فهي بمثابة دليل لهم في حل بعض المشكلات التي قد تواجههم.
وأعتمدت المادة العلمية لهذا الكتاب علي الأستعانة بالعديد من المراجع العربية والأجنبية, وكذلك تم أستخدام شبكة المعلومات الإلكترونية (الإنترنت) للحصول علي المعلومات الحديثة التي ساهمت في الإضافة العلمية التي يضمها هذا الكتاب, والباحثان إذ يضعان خبرتهما الطويلة في هذا العلم كطلبة وباحثين ومستفيدين من حضورهم لبعض المؤتمرات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية.
وهذا الكتاب لا يصل إلي درجة الكمال إذ أن الكمال لله وحده فقط, ولا يعفيهم من الخطأ ولكنهم ينشدون الصواب فتلك مقدمة ومن سار علي الدرب وصل.
