يتحدث الكاتب من خلال مجموعة خواطر تم تقسيمها لعدد (50) قاعدة حياتية، حيث تم الاهتمام بمراحل نمو الإنسان من خلال توزيع العمر والسلوكيات حسب القواعد، وقد دارت القواعد كيف نشأ الإنسان وكيف هي سلوكياته منذ الصغر وتم ربطها بمضمون خاطرتي وهي عبارة عن نصائح تقدم للقراء حول بعض السلوكيات والنصائح التي نمارسها في حياتنا اليومية، وبالرجوع إلى القواعد الخمسين فقد ركزت على قصة رجل كيف كان ما قبل الولادة ومن ثم في المهد وربطت سلوكيات الطفولة بأمور وقواعد مقترحة للتعامل مع الحياة والناس، ومن ثم تابعت الوصف لمرحلة المراهقة لهذا الشخص بخصوص ربط سلوكياته وأعماله كذلك مع الحياة الاعتيادية التي نمارسها، وأما في المراحل النهائية فقد صورت عمر هذا الطفل الذي وصل لمرحلة الزواج فالأبوة إلى أن أصبح جد وركزت هنا على احترام الكبير وتوقيره.
