نعيم تلميذٌ نشيط ويشارك في الأنشطة الرياضية لمدرسته، ذات يوم أخبر والده أنّ أوّل مباراة رسميّة سيلعبها يوم الجمعة، وعلى والده أن يحضرها. اعتذر الأب لكونه مضطراً للسفر لحضور مؤتمر في الخارج، شعر نعيم بالإنزعاج وعاتب والده بشدّة لكونه دوماً يتغيّب عن حضور أنشطة إبنه. حاول الأب أن يشرح لأبنه أنّ ظروف العمل تفرض عليه التغيّب، وعدم متابعة إبنه بشكل يومي، لكنّ نعيم إزداد غضبه لا سيما وأنّ بقية رفاقه يلعبون ويتمرّنون مع آبائهم، مثل صديقه نادر وأباه. وتزايد غضب نعيم حتى على نادر ذاته وعلى جميع رفاقه. في المساء، عاد إلى منزله ليجد صديقه نادر وأباه ينتظرانه لينصحاه بعدم الاستسلام للغضب حتى لا يفقد هدوءه واتّزانه في تعامله مع الناس، كما لا يعود بمقدوره السيطرة على انفعالاته.
