يقدّم كتاب "المعجزة" جانباً إعجازياً في القرآن الكريم لم يُكشف من قبل، فقد تحدّثوا عن الإعجاز "الجمالي" وكذلك عن "الإعجاز التعبيريّ أو الفني" ثمّ "الإعجاز العلميّ" وهي جميعاً أقرب في حقيقتها إلى أن تكون حديثاً عن "العبقرية" منها إلى الحديث عن "الإعجاز" فجمال اللغة وموسيقيّتها وبلاغتها وجزالتها وفصاحتها وسلامتها ودقتها كلّ ذلك يدخل في باب العبقريّة، ويمكن أن ينطبق على كثير من عباقرة البشر، ولكن أحداً لم يحاول الإمساك بالإعجاز الحقيقي، بكلّ ما في كلمة "إعجاز" من معنى الإستحالة على التقليد، فأخفقوا بوضع يدهم أو أيدينا على السرّ الحقيقيّ الذي جعل العرب يذهلون لدى سماعهم الوحي لأول مرّة ثم يستسلمون له وللعقيدة التي حملها إليهم، كان هذا السرّ هو "اللغة الجديدة".
لم تكن هذه اللغة تخالف قواعدهم، ولكنّها كانت مع ذلك مختلفة كلياً عن اللغة التي اعتادها قاموسهم، إنّها لغةً لم يُسبق إليها القرآن الكريم من قبل، ثمّ استحال، وما يزال مستحيلاً على أي عربي، تقليدها من بعد، وهذا ما يثبته هذا الكتاب بالطرق العلميّة غير القابلة للجدل، مع عرض كلّ ذلك بأسلوبٍ سهلٍ يناسب القارئ العادي، وعرض شيّقٍ يقارن بين كل من لغة القرآن الكريم، ولغة الحديث الشريف، ولغة الشعر العربي قبل القرآن وبعده، ولغتنا العادية اليوم، ليظهر، وبالأرقام، الفوارق البارزة والحاسمة بين لغة السماء ولغة النبوّة، وكذلك بينها وبين لغة البشر الأدبيّة واليوميّة قديمها وحديثها.
ويتضمن الجزء الأوّل من الكتاب دراسةً عامة للظواهر اللغويّة الجديدة التي أحدثها القرآن الكريم في اللغة العربيّة، مع الإستشهاد عليها من مختلف السور وجاء هذا الكتاب مع مختصر عنه بعنوان لغة القرآن الكريم إعجاز أم مجرد عبقرية؟
