لما كنت اعلم يقينا أن الشعر هو حالة تمثل لغوي راقية، وأنه تجسد فني لأبلغ مستويات الإبداع اللغوي قولا وإدراكا، وبالتالي فهو حساسية انفعالية عالية، يمارسها نالإنسان بعد بلوغه مستواها الذي يتآلف فيه الوجدان الشخصي للفرد، مع الوجدان الجمعي للغة، مما هو تلاحم حضاري بين الواقع ويمثلة الفرد، وبين المة ويمثلها الموروث اللغوي ، وبذلك تتمازج درجات الإبداع بين ما هو فردي وخاص وما هو جمعي وموروث. ومن هنا فان القصيدة هى خلاصة هذا التوحد الإلهامي الذي به يتحقق (انبثاق اليوم من الأمس).
فهذا كتابي أسعى فيه إلى كشف العلاقة الفنية بين اليوم والامس بين قصيدة الشعر الحديث والمعلقة الجاهلية بأدلة تاريخية نصوصية تقيم العلاقة العضوية الأكيدة داخل اللغة العربية بل كل انماط الكتابة الإبداعية فيها.
