المراحل التي يمر بها مشروع التشييد وخصائص كل منها: (دراسة الجدوى- التصميم- العاقد- التنفيذ- التسليم)، عقود التشييد وتقدير التكلفة (أنواع عقود التشييد وأساليب اختيار المقال -الأساليب المختلفة لتقدير التكلفة)، تخطيط وبرمجة أعمال التنفيذ (أساليب التخطيط والمتابعة -توزيع الموارد علي البنود ومتابعتها)، إدارة معدات التشييد (إنتاجية المعدات -تقدير تكلفة معدات التشييد)، وفي كل من هذه الأبواب يتم الشرح المفصل للفكرة مع إعطاء القارئ بعض الأمثلة التي تساعد علي استيعابها، مع ذكر بعض الملاحظات التي ألم بها المؤلف خلال فترة عمله.
وكذلك يعتبر هذا الكتاب مرجعاً مهماً للمختصين في إدارة مشروعات التشييد سواءً كان مالكاً، أو مشرفاً، أو منفذاً، أو مهندساً. كما أنه مرجع لتدريب المهندسين الراغبين في إدارة مشروعات التشييد.
