مارغريت دوراس (بالفرنسية: Marguerite Duras) شاعرة وكاتبة وكاتبة مسرحية ومخرجة فرنسية.
أشتهرت في فرنسا والعالم الفرنكفوني بالتنوع الأدبي والمعاصرة كما كانت كاتبة للقصص القصيرة وسيناريوهات الأفلام وهي تعتبر من أهم الأدباء الفرنسيين في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين.
ولدت في 4 أبريل 1914 في سايغون حين كانت سايغون مستعمرة فرنسية وهي تسمى الآن مدينة هو شي منه في دولة الفيتنام.
توفى والدها مبكراً وبقيت وهي ووالدتها وأخيها وأختها.
ارتبطت بعلاقة بشاب صيني ترك أثراً في كتاباتها.
وكذلك السنين السبع العشر التي عاشتها في شرق آسيا مع الظروف الصعبة وسوء المعاملة من الأم والأخ كل ذلك ترك آثراً في كتاباتها اللاحقة.
زارت باريس في عمر السابعة عشر وبدأت تدرس هناك الرياضيات.
ثم تركت الرياضيات وبدأت تدرس العلوم السياسية والقانون وانتمت إلى الحزب الشيوعي الفرنسي.
وتوفيت في 11 أبريل 1996 في باريس.

تتنازع نصوص مارغريت دوراس, معضلتان يشد بعضهما بعضاً باطراف خفية, الحب والموت, كما في هذا النص الجميل الذي قام بترجمته الصديق الأستاذ كامل عويد العامري, بعنوان (لاشيء بعد الآن) وبالطبع لسنا في صدد الدخول في مواجهة الترجمة الى العربية من اللغات الأجنبية, فهذا الأمر ينطبق عليه قول شوبنهور عن التاريخ, في أن: التاريخ هو المؤرخون, والنص المترجم هو المترجمون له. فاذا كان المترجم اكثر ميلا نحو العاطفي أو ينتقي مفرداته من القاموس المحسوس والملموس والواقعي من الكلمات, فاننا سنجد ذلك بارزا, كما نتلمسهه في (لاشيء بعد الآن) أما اذا توفر مترجم عقلاني يستقي قاموسه مما هو نقدي وفلسفي أو المنطق الذي يفسر الأشياء أو يترجم النص بصورة استقرائية وبعيدا عن العاطفي والرقيق والمحسوس فأننا سنجد امامنا ترجمة تميل الى تفسير الأشياء أو ترجمتها على اساس محسوب بالمقدار الذي يسمح به العقل والمنطق, نص مارغريت دوراس, بل اغلب نصوصها يعتمد ثنائية الحب / الموت و بالعكس إذ يشكلان قطب المعادلة القصصية في كل نصوصها ( الحديقة, موديراتوكانتابيل, هوروشيما حبيبتي, لاشيء بعد الآن ) المترجمة الى العربية, فالشخصيات (( تعيش داخل اسوارها الذاتية, المكرسة لحب مستحيل)) على حد تعبير هنري هيل, ولعل عبارة الحب المستحيل اكثر توافقا مع عالم دوراس الملموس والمحسوس والعاطفي المتدفق في سيل من الكلمات تبلغ في بعض جوانبها حد الثرثرة التي لا مفر من التعرف عليها.
