في المثل المصري القديم قيل "فرحة ما تمت" على كل شيء جميل لم يكتمل حتى يرى النور مشرقًا على أرض الواقع، ولأن أرض الواقع تغيرت كثيرًا منذ قيل هذا المثل وملئت بهموم أكثر وأكثر وأصبح الهم الأكبر- وخاصة للشباب- هو إيجاد وظيفة، جاء المثل مرة أخرى معبرًا عن أحلام لم تتحقق، ولكنه جاء متماشيًا مع تلك التغيرات "الهمومية" فأصبح "وظيفة ما تمت" تغيير أصاب المثل عندما وضع عنوانًا لهذا الكتاب الذي بين يدينا ليعبر بصدق عما جال في صفحاته وسطوره، فهي صفحات كتبها شاب مصري عن يومياته وعذاباته في البحث عن وظيفة، لأنه لم يبكينا، وإنما بأسلوب ساخر خفيف الظل أضحكنا كثيرًا وهو يقص علينا يومياته فكان العنوان ساخرًا صادقًا معبرًا واسمًا على مسمى.
عندما نتحدث عن هذا الكتاب جدير بالذكر أن نقول يوميات شاب التقط بمهارة وذكاء تفاصيل الحوادث حتى لو كانت صغيرة واستطاع أن يجمعها ويسطرها مستخرجًا منها معنى يربطها كخيط رفيع، استخرجها بذكاء ومهارة، وأهداها لنا بابتسامة لابد وأن تتحول إلى ضحكة على وجوهنا، عندما نضحك من الموقف ونضحك لأننا نرى واقعًا نعرفه أو عشنا تفاصيله عن قرب، وحتى لا نعرفه بتاتًا، ولكنه أدخلنا وبنجاح إلى عالمه فعايشنا أحداثه وصادقنا أبطاله وضحكنا لتعليقاته، فهو من خلال تعرضه وتسجيله لتلك اليوميات يرصد الكثير والكثير من مشاهد اجتماعية وثقافية تعبر عن واقع اقتصادي واجتماعي اجتاح مستقبل الشباب.. والذي كان أحدهم الشاب المؤلف "مايكل محسن" والذي لم يغضب من واقعه، وإنما غزل منه كتابًا يرصد فيه أخطاء شاب كان قليل الخبرة في أول صفحة ثم صار خبيرًا بشئون المقابلات ورحلات البحث عن عمل، وقدمه عملًا رائعًا للجميع كي لا يقعون فيما وقع هو فيه، وخاصة الشباب حتى يجدون في حياتهم "وظيفة تمت".
