لذلك اختارها المؤلف أن تكون مادة للدراسة، واختار (الأصول اللغوية المرفوضة في النحو والصرف) موضوعاً يعالج هذه الظاهرة ويدرسها.
وبناءً عليه، جمع المؤلف المادة من مصادرها ومظانِّها، ووضعها في مواضعها، ووزعها على ثلاثة أبواب تسبقها مقدمة، وتنتهي بخاتمة وثبت بالمصادر والمراجع.
أما الباب الأول فحمل عنوان: (الأصول اللغوية المرفوضة)، وأما الفصل الثاني فتكفّل بدراسة (الردّ إلى الأصل في النحو)، وكان الباب الثالث مختصّاً بدراسة (الردّ إلى الأصل في الصرف) وختم البحث بخاتمة تضمّنت أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها.
