هذه رسالة "العقل ومنزلته في الإسلام" وهي رسالة مؤصلة على نهج أهل السنة والجماعة، وأصل هذه الرسالة محاضرة ألقاها المؤلف في إحدى المدارس بدولة البحرين، فقام بارتجالها، فأتت على هذا النحو، رغم قلة المراجع في الموضع.
وفي هذا الإطار يتحدث المؤلف عن منزلة العقل في الإسلام فيتطرق إلى: نعمة العقل ووجوب شكرها، تحريم كل ما يضر بالعقل والجسم، تشنيع الله على الكفار والمشركين بأنهم لا يعقلون، العقل الصريح لا يعارض النقل الصحيح. للعقل حدود، ضلال أهل الكلام العقلانيين، موقف العقلانيين من الصفات ونصوصها، تناقض العقلانيين واصطرابهم، حيرة ابن رشد والآمدي والغزالي، ندم الرازي، ندم الشهرستاني، الجويني يموت على عقيدة عجائز نيسابور، عقيدة العجائز الفطرية خير من عقائد المتكلمين، المدرسة العقلية وبطلان حجتها، تأثر العقلانيين العصريين بالغرب وتتلمذهم على أيدي المستشرقين، من أبرز سمات هذه المدرسة، الجن هي الجراثيم والميكروبات عند الشيخ محمد عبده، تفسير "جوهري طنطاوي" تفسير عقلي، من أبرز رموز المدرسة العقلانية المعاصرة، أبيات للإمام ابن القيم يرد فيها عن العقلانيين.
