جريمة التزوير هي جريمة عصرية نهل خلالها مجرمو التزوير من روافد التكنولوجيا والعلوم المختلفة لتحقيق التغيير المنشود في الحقيقة المستندية والذي يمثل غاية الركن المادي للجريمة كما يعرفه النص الجنائي، ونحن لا نهدف ن هذه الدراسة بطبيعة الحال إلى تنبيه الطامحين في ارتكاب التزوير إلى دور الخبراء المختصين في اكتشاف التزوير ولا نرغب بالطبع في كشف أو فضح أدوات أو وسائل الخبراء في اشتقاق الدليل ولكن نهدف إلى المساعدة في اكتشاف هذه الجرائم لتكون واضحة أمام الجميع.
وإذا كان الالتزام بمنهج ما لعرض فكرة الكتاب ومضمونه هو حتمية تمليها طبيعة الكتابات العلمية، فقد آثرت من جانبي الالتزام بمنهج بسيط يبدأ بتحديد المصطلحات والتعريفات والمفاهيم التي ستستخدم فيما هو آت من صفحات هذا المؤلف، وما يتصل بهذه المفاهيم من آراء علمية ومناقشات فقهية وقانونية ذات صلة، وأجملت كل ذلك في الفصل الأول، ثم استعرضنا في الفصل الثاني عناصر البنية المادية للمستند ليتعرف القارئ على جسم المستند باعتباره كياناً ملموساً يشمل الورق أو البلاستيك أو غيرهما مع أحبار الطباعة ومداد الكتابة وعلامات التأمين وغيرها. أما الكتابة اليدوية ودورها الهام في عالم المستندات وما يحكم عملية المقارنة بين الخطوط اليدوية من نظريات وقواعد فقد أفردنا لها فصلاً خاصاً هو الفصل الثالث. وعدنا في الفصل الرابع لعرض وقواعد التزوير في المحررات وأساليب الخبراء في اكتشافها، وختمنا هذا العمل المتواضع بعرض دراسة خاصة عن التوقيعات علي بياض واستغلال التوقيعات كحالة خاصة من حالات التزوير.
