أنور محمود زناتي ولد في 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 1971 بالقاهرة، كاتب وأكاديمي مصري في مجال التاريخ والحضارة. ويعمل بجامعة عين شمس له كتابات متعددة في مجالات مختلفة مثل صدام الحضارات والاستشراق والإسلام، وتهويد القدس. حائز على جائزة الأستاذ الدكتور عبد الحميد العبادي من الجمعية التاريخية 2005 م، وجائزة الإبداع من السويد 2008 م وعضو الهيئة الاستشارية في دورية كان التاريخية المحكمة ومؤسس الجمعية التاريخية لشباب الباحثين

تتناول تلك الدراسة المؤرخ ابن حَيَّان القرطبي الذي يعتبر وبإجماع المؤرخين ظاهرة فكرية متميزة ظهرت في القرن الرابع الهجري (11م)؛ وقد أبرزت الدراسة بعض النتائج المهمة؛ فكشفت عن ملامح الفكر التاريخي في الأندلس وأبرزت إسهامات بعض المؤرخين المعرفية، وفي النهاية أوضحت الدراسة كيفية تبوأ ابن حَيَّان مكانة لائقة ومميزة بين مؤرخي عصره وكيف أجمع الدارسون على إعتباره حامل لواء التاريخ في الأندلس، وأنه أعظم مؤرخ أنجبته الأندلس، بل والغرب كله - الإسلامي والمسيحي منه على السواء.
