هذا كتاب حافل في معرفة أخبار ومناقب وكرامات ومبشرات شيخ الإسلام سيدي إسماعيل الجبرتي، قطب الصوفية وإمامها في الطريقة المحمدية، قد أتحفنا به الشيخ محمد بن أبي بكر الأشكل اليمني، حيث ذكر الكثير من الأخبار، وأسند الآثار، وترجم للأعلام فذكر الكثير ممن كانوا في موضع الخفاء والإبهام.
فكان كتابه هذا منارة، وحُجَّة وبشارة لكل من يتعرف على صدق الكرامات، وصحة ما حوته من دلائل واضحات، ويعلم أن لا وجه للإعتراض؛ فالأمر أوضح من الشمس في النهار، وهو مستمر قائم إلى يوم العرض على الملك الديَّان.
