Book Description
يرى إبريش فروم في اللاشعور مفهوماً وظيفياً، أي إنه وظيفة نفسية، لا تشير إلى غياب أي دافع، أو إحساس، أو رغبة أو ما إلى ذلك، بل إلى غياب إدراك ذلك فقط، ويفسر فروم تفضيل المفهوم المكاني على المفهوم الوظيفي بأنه ينسجم مع النزعة العامة في الثقافة الغربية المعاصرة إلى الفهم على أساس الأشياء التي نملكها، بدلاً من فهمها على أساس الكينونة.
أما محتوى اللاشعور عند فروم فليس الخير ولا الشر، وليس العقلي ولا غير العقلي، إنه كلاهما: إنه كل ما هو بشري؛ واللاشعور هو الإنسان الكلي - من دون ذلك الجانب الذي يتوافق مع مجتمعه، ويمثل الشعور الإنسان الإجتماعي، التحديدات التي يقررها الوضع التاريخي الذي يرمى فيه الفرد.
ويمثل اللاشعور الإنسان الشامل، الإنسان الكلي، الذي له جذوره في الكون؛ إنه يمثل النبات فيه، والحيوان فيه، والروح فيه؛ إنه يمثل ماضيه رجوعاً إلى فجر الوجود البشري، ويمثل مستقبله حتى اليوم الذي سيغدو فيه إنساناً كاملاً.
وبما أن الأحلام مرتبطة باللاشعور، فإنها ليست وليدة غير العقلي حصراً كما افترض فرويد، وليست وليدة العقلي حصراً كما افترض يونغ، بل قد تكون هذا أو ذلك أو كليهما معاً، وفرضية فروم هي أن الأحلام قد تعبّر عن أحطّ وظائف أذهاننا وأكثرها خروجاً عن العقل، وعن أرفعها وأكبرها قيمة، ويكشف ذلك ما فسّره من أحلام في هذا الكتاب.
