تعد الإذاعة المدرسية من أهم الأنشطة التربوية، وهي جزءُ من الطابور المدرسي ومن اليوم الدراسي، وهي الوجبة الخفيفة التي يتلقاها الطالب قبل دخول الفصل، فهي تعمل على تنمية قدرات الطلاب وإبراز مواهبهم وهواياتهم، كما أن لها الدور الفعال في صقل المعارف والعلوم لدى الطلاب.
إلا أن الإذاعة المدرسية أصبحت تشكل عبئاً ثقيلاً على معظم المعلمين والطلاب، بسبب ما تأخذ من، وقت وجهد، وإعداد، وتحضير، وتدريب الطلاب، وغير ذلك؛ ويلاحظ على الإذاعة أنها تقتصر على عدد معين من الطلاب، وعلى فقرات معينة طوال العام.
لذلك قام المؤلف بإعداد هذا الكتاب الذي يحتوي على برامج إرشادية عبر طابور الصباح وهو يضم وقسمها إلى عدة أقسام: 1-برامج دينية، 2-برامج تربوية، 3-برامج وقائية، 4-برامج مهنية، 5-برامج عامة.
وقد بدأها متسلسلة بالقرآن الكريم، ثم الحديث الشريف، ثم الحكمة، ثم النصيحة، ثم أبيات من الشعر تحتوي على مواعظَ وعبرٍ، ثم زاوية (هل تعلم) التي تحتوي على معلومات عن المملكة العربية السعودية، إلى جانب الثقافة الإسلامية والعامة، وأخيراً كلمة الصباح.
