إنها ابنة سيد الأولين والآخرين وخاتم النبيين ورسول رب العالمين. وسيرة حياتها جزء أساسى من سيرة أبيها المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد عاصرت أحداث الرسالة وتحملت الأذى وكافحت واحست بضخامة الأعباء التى تحملها النبى وكانت طوع أبيها ورهن إشارته تراعه وتخدمه بعد وفاة والدتها رضوان الله عليهم جنميعاً، كانت صابرة مطيعة - مجاهد- إنها فاطمة الزهراء بينت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الذى ينقطع كل نسب يوم القيامة إلا نسبها غلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقد قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ينقطع يوم القيامة كل سبب ونسب إلا سببى ونسبي".
إنها آخر من بقى من أولاده على قيد الحياة فشهدت وفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم، وكانت أول من لحق به صلى الله عليه وسلم، إنها البتول ريحانة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، بنت السيدة خديجة بنت خويلد أم المؤمنين وأحب نساء النبي إليه، إنها زوج سيدنا الإمام على بن ابى طالب رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين.
