ولا أخفي على القارئ أن هذا العصر الذي نعيشه يفرض علينا التفكير في الدخول في تحالفات لتجنب كثير من السلبيات التي يتسم بها، ومن أهمها الأزمات المالية ونقص الموازنات، وزيادة السكان، كذلك الإستفادة من إيجابياته وميزاته التي من أهما التقدم المذهل في وسائل الإتصال والتكنولوجيا.
كذلك يعتبر موضوع التحالفات الإستراتيجية في مؤسسات المعلومات أساساً مهماً لبناء إقتصاد المعرفة الذي هو أساس إقتصاد العالم المتقدم أو الدول التي تبحث عن التقدم والرقي.
