العنوان الذى نعالجه بتناول تاريخ العلاقات العربية- الأمريكية ويتطابق مع الرؤية العربية بينما الرؤية الأمريكية والإسرائيلية تفضل منظور العلاقات الأمريكية بالشرق الأوسط وهو منظور استراتيجي خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية وهو متسع خلالها من باكستان إلى المغرب وإن أخذ يضيق في أعقاب انهيار حلف بغداد ونكسة 1967م، ثم عاد إلى الاتساع بعد حرب 1973م والثورة الإيرانية في 1979م ولهذا سنجد أن الأمريكيين سيأخذون بتقسيم الشرق الأوسط ومن خلاله يتناولون العلاقات العربية الأمريكية التي تأتى ضمن الصراع بين الشرق والغرب الذى فرض نفسه في أعقاب الحرب العالمية الثانية وشكل السياسة الأمريكية وفرض عليها توجهات معينة في معالجة الأمور ورؤيتها. بينما المؤرخون والباحثون العرب فيتناولون العلاقات العربية الأمريكية دون التطرق إلا عند الضرورة إلى الحزام الشمالى The Northern Tier أو ما يعرف بالحزام الخارجى Outer ring.
