ومن هنا كانت هناك ضرورة دفعت الباحثة إلى أهمية تخفيف المعاناة من اضطراب الشخصية النرجسية، من خلال إحلال أفكار منطقية من خلال البرنامج المعرفي السلوكي، ومن خلال البرنامج القائم على السيكودراما، وكذلك اختبار تفهم الموضوع للراشدين T.A.T.
ومن ثم يشتمل الكتاب على بابين؛ يضم ثلاثة فصول وهي:
الفصل الأول: اضطراب الشخصية النرجسية، ويعرض (انتشاره- خصائصه- عوامل تطوره- نظرياته- معايير تشخيصه- ميكانيزماته- اعتباراته- وطرقه العلاجية- دراسات تناولته)، الفصل الثاني: العلاج القائم على السيكودراما لاضطراب الشخصية النرجسية، ويشمل (الأسس النظرية- فنيات الجلسة العلاجية- دراسات تناولت العلاج بالسيكودراما له)، والفصل الثالث: العلاج المعرفي السلوكي لاضطراب الشخصية النرجسية، ويشمل (الأسس النظرية- فنيات الجلسة العلاجية- دراسات تناولت العلاج المعرفي السلوكي له).
أما الباب الثاني، فيتضمن: ثلاثة فصول وهي:
الفصل الرابع: البرنامج التدريبي القائم على السيكودراما لتخفيف حده اضطراب الشخصية النرجسية شاملاً (الأبعاد- النظرية- الفنيات والجلسات العلاجية)، والفصل الخامس: البرنامج التدريبي المعرفي السلوكي لتخفيف حدة اضطراب الشخصية النرجسية متضمنا (الأبعاد- النظرية- الفنيات والجلسات العلاجية)، وأما الفصل السادس: النتائج العلاجية والكلينيكية، حيث يعرض هذا الفصل حالات الدراسة الكلينيكية مقسمة إلى ثلاثة مجموعات تجريبية ومتضمنة (ملخص الحالات في كل مجموعة ومقابلاتها الكلينيكية ودراسة حالتها وتفسير استجابتها على لوحات اختبار T.A.T - التقرير النهائي وعلاقتها بالبناء النفسي المضطرب).
