إنه لا يخفى على ذي بصيرة أن تحقيق التراث ونشره وتسهيل وصوله لأيدي الباحثين والقراء وطلبة العلم من أجل ما يمكن أن يقدمه الباحث في علوم العربية، لا سيما المتون العلمية المتعلقة بعلوم العربية؛ فإنها من مظاهر الثراء العلمي عند السلف؛ إذ كانوا يعمدون إلى علم ما فَيَسبِكون مسائله سبكاً لطيفاً في صورة نثرية مُبَسطة كما في متون العقيدة واللغة، أو ينظمونه نظماً - وهو الأغلب - كما في منظومات التجويد والقراءات المختلفة، والفائدة الجليلة لهذه المتون والمنظومات أنها تختصر المطول، وتضبط المُشِكل، وتُقرب العلم للمبتدئ، وتُذكر به المنتهي، ولكلِّ علم من العلوم متونٌ صنَّفها العلماء لجمع مسائله وضبط قواعده، ومن تلك المتون والمنظومات - التي خدمها علماؤنا وكتبوا فيها - علمُ البلاغة، ومن الملاحظ أنه ما زال هذا الفنُّ يحتاج إلى خدمة علمية تخرجه على الوجه اللائق به من جهة، وعلى الوجه الذي يسهل الإنتفاع به من جهة أخرى.
