إن ذكرياتي هذه المستندة في بعضها إلى الذاكرة المستقلة، وإلى الأمور الموثقة، في بعضها الآخر، ولا ينبغي النظر إليها من زاوية البحث العلمي الأكاديمي لأنها ليست كلها كذلك. إنها، ببساطة سيرتي الشخصية أرويها بكل صدق وأمانة، سفينة حياتي أخوضها وأرويها كما عشتها، وكما مارست فيها قناعاتي ومبادئي.
"تفاعلت في مسيرة حياتي ثلاثة محاور أساسية شكلت مجتمعة مقومات شخصيتي الأساسية. هذه المحاور الثلاثة تجسدت في نشاط ثقافي جامعي ونشاط تنموي ريفي وثالث حزبي نضالي تغييري".
إن أصعب ما في كتابة الذكريات والسير الذاتية هو الخوض في الزمانيات والمكانيات المتلازمة دون المرور بالشخصيات البشرية ونوازعها، والوقوع في مطلبات الحديث عن الأنا والآخر سلباً أم إيجاباً. لذلك حاولت قدر الإمكان تجنب التحليل وإطلاق الأحكام وسجلت ما حدث وكيف حدث ودور الأبطال والشهود. إن ما يهمني في هذه الذكريات هو الأحداث والوقائع التاريخية والتجارب والتحديات التي واجهتها في حياتي. ما يهمني هو التحولات والعبر أحاول تقديمها كما عشتها واختبرتها شهادة وحياة وموقفاُ. ما يهمني من هذه الذكريات هو أن تقوى على مقاومة النسيان والغياب. وما يهمني هو الحياة التي تنهض لأجل هدف وغاية وأمل. لا أعرف من قال مرة إن الحياة تستمد قيمتها من القضية التي نلتزم في المبدأ والموقف والممارسة. حياتي صنعتها قضيتي، وصيتى كانت وما زالت الإنسان والمجتمع والتغيير في بلادي.
