أقبل الطلاب العرب في السنوات الأخيرة على تعلم اللغة الألمانية لأسباب شتى، فمنهم من اختارها كلغة ثانية في كلية الآداب، ومنهم من يتابع دراسته أو اختصاصه في الجامعات الألمانية، ومنهم من يريد الإطلاع على الحياة الثقافية في ألمانيا. إن عددهم أصبح اليوم لا يحصى.
إن هذا الكتاب محاولة لتبسيط مادة القواعد التي كانت ولا تزال تشكل عقبة للطالب العربي، نظراً لتشعب وصعوبة بعض جوانبها، خاصة عندما يقارنها باللغة الآباء والأجداد. فهناك عدد من المصطلحات القواعديدة يصعب ترجمتها إلى العربية، كحالة الـ Dativ، وحروف الجر، والعطف، وغيرها. لذا ليس من الممكن أن تتفق الشروح أو بيانات قواعد الألمانية، أو تتلائم مع تلك النواحي الخاصة في اللغة العربية.
لقد بذلت قصارى جهدي لأشرح مواضيع القواعد المعقدة، كإعراب الصفة، والضمائر المنوعة، وبشكل خاص حروف الجر.
