أحمد محمد محمد سويلم (ولد في بيلا، بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، مصر سنة 1942) هو شاعر مصري، حصل على جائزة الدولة التقديرية في الآداب سنة 2016.
حياته
حصل سويلم على بكالوريوس التجارة 1966م، وهو يعمل مديراً للنشر في دار المعارف وأستاذاً غير متفرغ لمادة أدب الأطفال في كلية التربية بجامعة حلوان. عضو لجنة الشعر بالمجلس الأعلى للثقافة ومجلس إدارة اتحاد الكتاب واتحاد الأدباء ونقابة الصحفيين.

في زوايا التاريخ الشعري كثرة قادرة من الشعراء على نقل الحس الاجتماعي، ومزج ذواتهم بذوات الآخرين، ومخالفة التقليد الأعمى في نظرة بعض الشعراء للحياة والناس من حولهم، ومع هذا فقد نظر بعض مؤرخي الأدب إلى تراثنا الشعري من ثقب ضيق، وجانبهم الصواب وهم يحاصرونه، أو يحصرونه في دائرة ظالمة.. فلشعر العربي لديهم محاصر بأغراض المديح والهجاء والرثاء والغزل والفخر والحماسة، ومن ثم نظر إلى الشاعر القدير من خلال تلك الإطارات القاصرة، وساد إعتقاد خاطئ يتصل بعملية الإبداع بأن "أعذب الشعر أكذبه".
إن إعادة النظر في تلك المفاهيم الثابتة عن تراثنا العظيم، قد دعت المخلصين هنا وهناك- وهم قلة- إلى ضرورة إكتشاف جوانب هذا التراث الحقيقة المعبرة عن موقفه الفني والاجتماعي، وفي هذا الكتاب واحدة من تلك المحاولات الجادة الساعية إلى إعادة النظر في شعرنا العربي القديم، وجلاء مواطن عظمته وعبقريته المتفردة.
