يحاول هذا الكتاب ـ عبر الموضوعات القرآنية العشرة التي طرحها ـ أن يتعرف على أسرار النهي عن الفرح في القرآن الكريم، والذي ورد التصريح به في قوله تعالى: {لا تَفْرَحْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُحِبُّ الْفَرِحِينَ} (القصص: 76) فهذا النهي الوارد على لسان الناصحين من بني إسرائيل لقارون، نهي سار إلى يوم القيامة، وهو يعبر عن الحقيقة بلسانها الفصيح الناصح.. ذلك أننا نحتاج أن نستمع لمن يدعونا إلى عدم الفرح كما نحتاج إلى من يدعونا إلى عدم الحزن أو عدم اليأس.. ذلك أن الفرح مثله مثل الحزن واليأس قد يتحول إلى أداة من أدوات الشيطان التي يخرب بها بنيان الإنسان، ويجعله منشغلا بما وصل إليه من نعمة، غافلا عما ينتظره من ألم. ولذلك جمع الله بين النهي عن الأمرين جميعا: الحزن والفرح في قوله تعالى: {لِكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُور} [الحديد: 23]
