لا بد أن تقرأ الأجيال القادمة التاريخ الذي عشناه الآن وغدا ليس من كتب التاريخ المصقولة، وإنما من روايات هذا الجيل او الأجيال القادمة، ولهذا السبب يؤكد "هاينه" على قرابة نزوة الناس: "إنهم يطلبون تاريخهم من يد الفنان وليس من يد المؤرخ، إنهم يطلبون ليس تقريراً أمنياً عن حقائق مجردة، بل تلك التي انحلت عائدة إلى الفن الأصلي الذي جاءت منه".
الروايات الخالدة تتميز بقدرة فنية على صياغة عناصرها لتشكل القول الروائي، وهذا البناء الروائي لا يكتمل إلا بمجموعة عناصر قابلة للتجزئة (الزمان، المكان، السرد، الشخصية...).
وإذا كانت البنائية تبدو للوهلة الأولى غامضة، فإن الصبر والإدارة كفيلان بتذليل الصعوبات والسماح بحل بعض تشابكاتها، إلا أن الدخول إلى عالم الرواية كدارس في بداية الطريق تطلب قدراً كبيراً من الصبر والتسلح بثقافة نقدية تسمح لصاحبها بولوج هذا العالم المتشابك، من خلال عملية تجزيئية تقوم بتجزئة عناصر العمل الروائي لمعرفة طريقة تشكله.
