يولي عناية خاصة وشرح تفصيلي لأسس عمليات قطع المعادن، واللوالب (القلاووظات) بأنواعها بالنظام الدولي SI بمواصفات ISO واستخداماتها والطرق المختلفة لتشغيلها وإنتاجها ومعايرتها، ولمزيد من الإيضاح فقد زود الكتاب بالعديد من الأشكال التوضيحية والجداول والأمثلة المحلولة ذات العلاقة التي عرضت بأسلوب تربوي لتساعد الطالب علي سهولة الاستيعاب وسرعة التنفيذ.
