كتاب يلقي الضوء على كافة المواضيع المتعلقة بالعلامة اللونية بدءاً بتحديد ماهية واركان هذه العلامة والأساس القانوني الذي تستند اليه مروراً بالنظريات المعارضة لمفهوم العلامة اللونية وصولاً إلى الشروط الشكلية (التسجيل)، والموضوعية (شرطي التميّز وانعدام الدور الوظيفي) الواجب توافرها في الاشارة اللونية من اجل ان تكتسب وصف العلامة التجارية.
يقسم الكتاب إلى قسمين أساسيين، يعالج الأول موضوع اللون كعلامة تجارية فيتناول ماهية العلامة اللونية وأركانها، بالاضافة إلى الأساس القانوني للعلامة اللونية أوروبياً وأميركياً. كما يتطرق هذا القسم إلى النظريات التي تحد من استعمال اللون كعلامة تجارية وفقاً للفقه والإجتهاد على الصعيدين الاوروبي والاميركي. أما القسم الثاني فيعالج شروط حماية العلامة اللونية، فيتناول شرط الحماية الشكلي وما يستتبع ذلك من معالجة لإشكالية تسجيل العلامة اللونية في لبنان إزاء الوضع القانوني القائم عارضاً للحلول المتبعة في النظامين الاوروبي والاميركي، كما يعالج شروط الحماية الموضوعية متطرقاً ضمن هذا السياق إلى تقدير خاصة التميّز بالنسبة إلى اللون ذاته وكذلك بالنسبة إلى المنتج او الخدمة، حيث يضع المؤلف بين ايدي القارئ مقارنة بين النظامين الأميركي والأوروبي حول شروط التميّز المكتسب قبل التطرق إلى الدور الوظيفي للعلامة اللونية كأحد أهم الشروط المطلوبة للحماية نظراً لشدة ارتباطه بخصوصية الألوان وواقع تركيبها الفيزيائي.
