يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى توجيه نظر المنظمات العربية إلى أهمية النصف الثاني، ودوره في بقاء المنظمة على قيد الحياة العلمية، في ظل بيئة تنافسية لا ترحم، ولا تعرف الصبر حتى يتم إعداد قادة جدد، يحلون محل قادة الصف الأول الذين تركوا المنظمة لأي سبب من الأسباب.
كما يهدف إلى تأكيد أهمية بناء وإعداد الصف الثاني على أسس أخلاقية، حتى يكون لدى المنظمة ذخيرة من القيادات الأخلاقية، وهنا يأتي دور القيادة الأخلاقية، من خلال ما يقوم به القائد من توجيه وإرشاد، ومن خلال كونه القدوة والمثل للعاملين معه، ومن بينهم قادة الصف الثاني.
