لقد تناولنا في هذا الكتاب موضوعة الحقيقة في علاقتها بالأثر الفني والشعر، والخبرة الجمالية، بإعتبارهم تعبيرات متعددة لحقيقة الوجود وتجلياً له، فحقيقة الوجود تتجلى في اللغة بإعتبارها مسكن الوجود ومقطنه، كما تتجلى في الخبرة الجمالية، وفي الأثر الفني وفي الشعر... إنها تجليات للوجود.
وقد حاولنا أن نفكر مع هيدجر بنفس النهج الذي نهجه في كتاباته وفي تناوله لموضوعاته بنية ضبط خطه التفكيري ومنهجه الفينومينولوجي الأنطولوجي، ولما كان السؤال الذي سيطر على مجمل موضوعاته هو سؤال الأصل، فإننا لم نغفل ذلك في تناولنا لفكر هيدجر، وذلك لأن التساؤل عن الأصل ينتمي إلى صميم فلسفته.
أولاً من حيث اعتماده على المنهج الفينومينولوجي الذي هو علم وبحث في الماهيات، في الظواهر عرض المظاهر، وثانياً لأنه بحثه عن الأصل هو البحث عن ما يكونه الشيء والطريق التي يكون عليها، هادفاً بذلك إلى تجاوز الإرث الميتافزيقي والتصور الذي خلفه هذا الإرث لمفهوم الماهية كماهية ثابتة، أو كماهية للحضور، وهي العبارة التي يطلقها على الميتافيزيقا الغربية بإعتبارها ميتافيزيقا الحضور.
الميتافيزيقا التي نست وتناست العلاقة مع الوجود وفكرت في الموجود فقط، وما رجوعه إلى الإغريق إلا محاولة لتأصيل هذا الأصل والعمل على إعادة إنبثاق الوجود الذي تم نسيانه من خلال الكلمة الشعرية كما هو الشأن مع هيراقليطس وبارمنيدس بإعتبار أن اللغة الشعرية هي القميئة بالتعبير عن حقيقة الوجود، وهذا ما جعله أواصر التواصل ليس فقط مع أولئك الإغريق الذين نظموا كتبهم الفلسفية على شكل قصائد، بل كذلك مع شعراء عصره كما فعل مع "ريكله" و"هيلدرلن".
