يسعدني أن أقدم هذا القاموس إلى المكتبة العربية وهو يتناول موضوعًا مهمًا لجميع دارسي اللغة الانجليزية وهو موضوع (الأفعال المركبة Phrasal verbs).
وقد جمعت أكبر قدر من الأفعال الانجليزية التي لا تزال مستخدمة في اللغة الانجليزية في هذا القاموس، كما تجنبت ذكر الأفعال التي أصبحت قديمة، أو التي لم تعد مستخدمة، وقد قدمت مادة هذا القاموس بطريقة أحسبها مناسبة للدراسين متوسطي المستوى، حيث سيجد القارىء في السطر الأول من كل مدخل: الفعل المركب ومهناه باللغة الانجليزية واللغة العربية ثم يلي ذلك مثال يستخدم نفس الفعل في جملة انجليزية تامة مع ترجمتها إلى العربية، ويستخدم هذا القاموس القليل من الرموز مثل الشرطة المائلة (/) بين المترادفات واستخدمت الأقواس () عندما يصلح استخدام الفعل المركب مع أكثر من حرف.
وأتمنى أن يكون هذا القاموس مفيدًا لدارسي اللغة الانجليزية.
