والحالة الوظيفية التي يمر بها الفرد بعد العمل البدني وحتى العودة إلى الحالة الطبيعية تسمى (الإستشفاء)، وهو عبارة عن أداء نشاط حركي مستمر الإيقاع هادئ عقب المجهود البدني لغرض تخفيض كمية وكثافة اللاكتيك المتراكم في العضلات الذي يعمل في الإقلال من التعب.
