يتناول هذا الكتاب بعض القضايا التي تتصل بالحمل والإشكالية المترتبة عليها، كقضية إسقاط الحمل، وتحديد النسل ومسألة نفخ الروح، وقضايا أخرى مستجدة وليدة هذا العصر كالإستنساخ وغيرها من التساؤلات حول الحمل وقضاياه التي تشغل الباحثين، سواء في الشريعة أو في العلوم التجريبية أو القانونية، للوقوف على الحكم الشرعي والقانوني المناسبين لطبيعة الإنسان وإبعاده عن الانحراف والتدني الخلقي وظهور النزعة المادية، وغياب الضمير في مثل هذه القضايا. ويشتمل على مقدمة وأربعة فصول وخاتمة: الفصل الأول يتناول الحمل الطبيعي، ويبحث الفصل الثاني في التلقيح الصناعي، أما الفصل الثالث فيتناول الاستنساخ، ويبحث الفصل الرابع حقيقة الإجهاض، والأحكام المتصلة بكل هذه القضايا.
