يأتي هذا الكتاب من ضمن سلسلة التدرج في الفقه الشافعي (1) وعنوانه "سُلَّمُ التوفيق إلى محبة الله على التحقيق" لمؤلفه الفقيه الشافعي عبد الله التريمي (1191-1272ه) وهو مختصر جامع لأغلب ضروريات علم الدين التي لا يجوز أن يجهلها أحد من المكلفين، من أصول وفروع، مما يجعله مناسباً للتعليم السريع، الذي تمس الحاجة إليه في هذا الزمن، الذي كثرت فيه المشاغل. كما اشتمل هذا المختصر على طرفٍ من التزكية - تطهير النفس وتهذيبها - المعبر عنها بالتخلية - التخلي عن الأوصاف الذميمة - والتحلية - التحلي بالأوصاف الحميدة".
ولأهمية هذا المختصر اعتنى بتحقيقه وإعادة تنضيده وضبطه والتعليق عليه الأستاذ سيط الجيلاني بالإستناد إلى نسخ مخطوطة (من مكتبة الأحقاف باليمن) مع التنويه "أن كل ما حواه هذا المتن من مسائل التعليم، قد أخذته - والكلام للمحقق - عن مشايخ معتبرين، وضبطته درايةً كما ينبغي لطالب الفقه في الدين ...". وعليه، تم تقسيم محتويات الكتاب إلى أبواب اندرجت تحت كل باب منها فصول جاءت تحت عناوين رئيسية هي: 1- باب أصول الدين، 2- باب الطهارة والصلاة، 3- باب الزكاة، 4- باب الصوم، 5- باب الحج، 6- باب المعاملات، 7- باب تزكية النفس، 8- باب بيان المعاصي.
هذا الكتاب مختصر فيما يجب على كل مسلم أن يعلمه من أصول الدين وفروعه.
