كلنا يفكر كثيرًا فيما عليه أن يأخذ معه أو أن يضع في حقيبته قبل أن يخرج في أي مشوار، قصيرًا كان أو طويلاً، بعيدًا أو قريبًا، فنحمل معنا الأشياء التي قد نحتاجها أو يحتاجها من يرافقوننا. وأحيانًا نأخذ أغراضًا لا نحتاجها إلا في ظروف خاصة ونادرة جدًا، لكننا نأخذها من باب الحذر الزائد والاستعداد لأي مفاجأة قد نواجهها ونحن بعيدون عن منازلنا العامرة بالأشياء. هذا السلوك ليس حكرًا على الكبار، وربما يكون أكثر شيوعًا عند الأطفال الذين يتعلقون بحقائبهم ويحبون ملأها بأغراضهم الحميمة، وحملها معهم في كل المناسبات. الكاتبة هنادي الحبشي تتناول هذا الموضوع بقالب فكاهي وسرد عذب وشيق، ترافقه لوحات الرسامة بسمة حسام الجميلة لبطلة القصة الظريفة وتتابع أحداثها المضحكة. عُلا فتاة صغيرة بمخيلة كبيرة، لا تخرج من المنزل إلا بعد أن تملأ حقيبتها الصفراء بعددٍ هائلٍ من الأغراض الغريبةِ كحذاء أحمر، ومخدة، ولحاف، ومفك وأشياء لا يمكن أن تحتاجها أبدًا في مشاويرها العائلية القصيرة، لكن عُلا بخيالها المتوهج دائمًا، تجد لتصرفها مبررًا، ولتلك الأشياء مناسبة طارئة لا تخطر على بال أحد! ستتعالى ضحكات الأطفال أثناء قراءة القصة وهم يستمعون إلى الأغراض التي وضعتها عُلا في حقيبتها وإلى مبرراتها الطريفة والعجيبة جدًا، وطريقة والدتها اللطيفة في مسايرتها واقناعها بالتخلي عنها. الأطفال والكبار سيقعون في حب عُلا التي سيرون في تصرفها دعوة مفتوحة للتحدث عن الأشياء التي يضعونها في حقائبهم وتبريراتهم لذلك، وستعلو الضحكات أكثر حين سنكتشف بأننا لا نختلف عن عُلا كثيرًا.
