وإذا كان من الصعب التنبؤ بمستقبل "الشرق الأوسط"، فمن الممكن إتخاذ إجراءات وخطوات إستباقية، لا سيما في ظل تعرض المنطقة لأزمات قد تزعزع إستقرارها، وتؤدي إلى إعادة تقسيمها على أسس عرقية ومذهبية، فالمتغيرات الدولية المتسارعة التي يشهدها العالم بشكل عام، ومنطقة "الشرق الأوسط" خصوصاً تجعل من الصعب التخطيط للمستقبل، لأن هذه المتغيرات قادرة على تجاوز أي تخطيط، ودفع بوصلة المستقبل وآفاقه إلى حالة من التأرجح بين الإتجاهات المختلفة، علماً أن المستقبل يرسمه الحاضر إنطلاقاً من الماضي.
وستشكل هذه المنطقة مدخلاً لولادة وتشكل نظام دولي جديد، لذلك تتخذ منطقة "الشرق الأوسط" شكلاً ثنائياً لسياسة محاور تقوم على أساس ديني مذهبي وعرقي، في ضوء عمليات الإستقطاب المتسارعة فيها وفي العالم.
