" عون المريد في شرح جوهرة التوحيد " هو كتاب في العقيدة اختُصر من حاشية الباجوري على جوهرة التوحيد ، به تُفهم مبادىء العقيدة الإسلامية ، وأصولها ، بكل ما يطابق الكتاب والسّنة ، وجاءت أحاديثه لتربط السلوك بالعقيدة ، وقد اجتمعت بين دفتيه الأدلة والبراهين على ما جاء به الإسلام من صحة العقيدة بوحدانية الله في ذاته وصفاته وأفعاله ، لذلك فإن هذا الكتاب وفقاً لمؤلفه الشيخ عبد الكريم تتان : " بحث العقيدة بحثاً فكرياً ، وأثبتها إثباتاً اعتمد على النقل والعقل ( ... ) يستطيع المسلم به تعلّم أمور العقيدة ، فيخرج من التقليد في الإيمان ، ويستطيع أن يرد ما يعترضه من شبهات تلقى من شياطين الإنس والجن ... " .
ولمزيد من الإيضاح عمد المؤلف إلى تبسيط بعض مسائل الكتاب لعظيم شأنها ، وذكر الأحاديث مُسندة إلى مخرجيها مع الترقيم للآيات ، والإعتماد في الشرح على شرح شيخ الإسلام إبراهيم الباجوري ، مع حذف ما به من بلاغة ونحو ؛ وإضافة ما وجده مناسباً للبحث والشرح في كتب أخرى .
