يعد كتاب "ملاك التأويل" من أهم الكتب التي فسرت متشابه الكتاب، وهو يعتبر أهم مؤلفات أحمد بن إبراهيم بن الزبير العاصمي الغرناطي الذي كثيراً ما يعتمد عند تفسيره على القراءات المختلفة وعلى أسباب النزول. وقد أشار المصنف في مقدمة الكتاب إلى أن علم المتشابه علم جليل لم يقرع بابه قبله أحد، إلا ما كان من الخطيب الإسكافي في "درة التنزيل".
ونشير إلى أن المصنف استشهد في هذا الكتاب بآراء بعض المفسرين المشهورين مثل ابن جرير الطبري والزمخشري والفخر الرازي والقرطبي والإسكافي وغيرهم. كما أورد الكثير من الأحاديث والآثار التي ترك بعضها من دون ذكر سنده، كما أكثر من الاستشهاد بالشعر والأمثال والأقوال المأثورة.
وبالنظر لأهمية فقد تم الاعتناء بتحقيقه حيث اهتم المحقق بتخريج الآيات القرآنية الواردة في الكتاب قرب الآية مباشرة، كما أحال الاستشهادات الشعرية إلى مظانها.
كتاب من أهم الكتب التي فسرت متشابه القرآن الكريم وقد استشهد المؤلف بكتب بعض المفسرين المشهورين كالطبري والزمخشري والرازي وغيرهم، ويهدف الكتاب إلى إبعاد الآيات القرآنية عن التأويلات المختلفة لدى بعض المنحرفين عن العقيدة.
