الدراسة الحالية تبين مدى أهمية وفعالية التقنيات المعرفية والسلوكية في علاج حالة من حالات القلق المعمم ( طفل عمره 10 سنوات) ،وقد قسمت هذه الدراسة الى قسمين القسم النظري ويتمثل في :مفاهيم الدراسة وهي القلق المعمم ،والعلاج المعرفي السلوكي ،والعناصر النظرية للدراسة والمتمثلة في النموذج المعرفي للقلق المعمم ،ونموذج لازاروس ،التحليل الوظيفي. اما القسم الثاني للدراسة تناول الجانب التطبيقي منها، حيث تم عرض منهجية الدراسة ،وتقديم الحالة ،والتحليل الوظيفي للمقابلات التي اجريت ،وأسفرت النتائج عن فعالية التقنيات المعرفية السلوكية في الخفض من درجات القلق لدى الطفل.
