هذا العمل يهدف إلى تقديم فكرة عن عالم المعامل، وإشارة إلى مدى أهميته كركيزة للانطلاق نحو التقدم والرقي، ومن هنا كانت الوسيلة لتحقيق هذا الهدف، هو تقديم مادة علمية مبسطة ومركزة باللغة العربية عن العمل في معامل التحاليل الأساسية، ومعامل التحاليل الطبية وغيرها من معامل الاختبار والمعايرة، بهدف التوعية بالإدارة العلمية الحديثة لهذه المعامل، لذلك فإن هذا العمل تناول تعريف بالمعامل من حيث تصميمها وسلامتها ووقايتها من المخاطر، ومراجعة وسائل الوقاية والسلامة للأفراد والمعدات والمنشأة ككل، ثم تناول بشئ من التفصيل ما يعرف بالممارسات الجيدة بالمعامل، حيث يتناول هذا القسم العناصر والشروط الخاصة بهذه الممارسات، وكيفية إدارتها وتنفيذها ومراقبتها، ثم كان الختام في القسم الثالث الذي تناول الإشارة الى المواصفة العالمية ISO/ IEC 17025 والتي تعتبر أحدث تطبيق عملي للمارسات الجيدة بالمعامل GLP، على أمل أن يكون من وراء هذا العمل بعض الفائدة للقراء، سواء منهم المتخصصين أو الراغبين في التزود بالثقافة والعلم تحت شعار (مزيد من العلوم الحديثة بلغتنا العربية الخالدة).
