مجدى سيد عبد العزيز، كاتب ومؤلف (٣٠ رمضان ١٩٣٠هـ - ٢٨ نوفمبر ١٩٧٠م)· ولد بحي شبرا بالقاهرة بجمهورية مصر العربية، لأسرة متوسطة، كان والده موظف وأمه ربة منزل، وهو الرابع من بين اخوته الثمانية.
تدرج في مراحل التعليم حتى حصل على بكالوريوس الخدمة الإجتماعية من كلية الخدمة الإجتماعية بجامعة القاهرة فرع الفيوم عام ١٩٩٤م.
قرر نهائياً العمل بالكتابة والتأليف منذ أن كان طالباً بالجامعة، وكان أول كتاب صدر له ك مجدى سيد عبد العزيز، كاتب ومؤلف (٣٠ رمضان ١٩٣٠هـ - ٢٨ نوفمبر ١٩٧٠م)· ولد بحي شبرا بالقاهرة بجمهورية مصر العربية، لأسرة متوسطة، كان والده موظف وأمه ربة منزل، وهو الرابع من بين اخوته الثمانية.

قرر نهائياً العمل بالكتابة والتأليف منذ أن كان طالباً بالجامعة، وكان أول كتاب صدر له كان بعنوان (الموسوعة الطريفة) فور تخرجه عام ١٩٩٥م، وقد نشرته له دار الأمين، وهو متفرغ تماما للتأليف، وخلال ذلك عمل بالتدريس والصحافة، هو كذلك مدقق ومصحح لغوي امتهن بمهنة النشر فترة.
وهو كذلك عضو باتحاد الكتاب واسع الثقافة والاطلاع، وبمكتبته الخاصة آلاف الكتب والدوريات، يسلك فى كل كتبه النهج الموسوعي المتشعب والمتفرع، ويعتبر الكتابة مهنة مقدسة سامية، والكتب من أهم وأفضل وسائل تكوين العقل وبناء الشخصية.
حتى الآن صدر له أكثر من (٧٠) كتاباً، وأمنيته الكبرى أن يؤلف (١٠٠٠) كتاب، ومعظم كتبه تحقق أرقاماً كبيرة فى المبيعات.

لقد زادت ونمت، وتطورت وتضخمت، حتى أصبحت بحق علامة في مجالها، وصنعت لها مكانًا مميزًا تحت شمس الموسوعات الشعبية. وقد فعلنا في هذه الطبعة ما فعلناه في الطبعات السابقة.. حذفنا (80) فقرة، وأضفنا بدلًا عنها (100) عنوان جديد، فصار جميع ما في الموسوعة (505) مادة، نرى أنها جرعة معرفية ونافعة بإذن الله.. هذا عدا التنقيح والتصويب والتدقيق.
