أعلم أنَّ كلامنا في هذا الكتاب على قدرنا، على قدره، وفهمنا له على حسب حالنا، لا بحقيقةِ أمره، إذ كل كلمة منه تحتملُ الأسفار العديدة، وكل لفظةٍ تحتها ما لا يحصى من الإشارات الفريدة، ثم هوَ مرتب بعضهُ على بعضه، ومردود طوله على عرضه، فكل كلمةٍ منه توطئةُ لما بعدها، وشرح لما قبلها، بل وكل بابٍ شرحُ لكل كلمةٍ من التي قبلها على الترتيب، ثم الكتاب كلهُ شرحُ لكل كلمةٍ منهُ، فمن تتبعَ ذلك وجدَهُ، وسنشيرُ إلى أول درجةٍ منهُ (الطراز والحواشي على الحكم العطائية، ص 24).
