يحتوي هذا المجموع على كتابين قد جمعا بين التوحيد بما فيه من يقينية الأدلة وبين التصوف بما فيه من وعظ، ولأجلِّ أئمة التصوف وممن درس وتعلم على يد الشيخ عبد القادر الجيلاني ومن أهم من كان له اليد الطولى في الرد على الفلاسفة والمبتدعين وهما كتاب "أعلام الهدى وعقيدة أرباب التقى" و"رسالة الفقر في مخالفة النفس والقهر" للإمام شهاب الدين عمر بن محمد السهروردي (المتوفى سنة 632هـ).
أما كتاب أعلام الهدى فهو الكتاب الذي نقل لنا الإمام السهروردي عن طريقه عقيدته التي يدين الله تعالى بها وقد بيّنها بشكل مختصر مقتضب.
وأما كتاب رسالة الفقر في مخالفة النفس والقهر فهو تجربة السهروردي في التصوف والتي تعدّ مختصراً لكتابه الشهير "عوارف المعارف"، والإمام السهروردي يعتبر نقله نوعية في علم التصوف حيث جمع بين التصوف وبين المنهج الفلسفي الذي كان عليه شيخه عبد القادر الجيلاني
