هذه هي الطبعة العاشرة الجديدة والمزيدة من كتاب (مبادئ الاقتصاد الكلي) وهي طبعة محكّمة ومقيّمة، تضمنت نقلة نوعية تمثلت بإضافة جزء خاص في نهاية كل فصل شاملاً أهم المفاهيم المستعملة في الفصل ومقابلها بالانجليزية. يتعرض هذا الكتاب إلى موضوع الاقتصاد كعلم ويتوقف عند المشكلة الاقتصادية، ويكوّن فكرة لدى الطالب عن آلية عمل السوق من طلب وعرض ومحددات كل منهما، ومن ثم التقديم للاقتصاد الكلي من خلال توضيح مفهوم الناتج المحلي والإجمالي ومحدداته وطرق قياسه، وكذلك تعميق تفكير الطالب في محددات مستوى الطلب الكلي والعرض الكلي. وتمّ في هذا الكتاب استعراض مكونات الناتج المحلي بدراسة الاستهلاك والإدخار ومحددات كل منهما، وكذلك دراسة الاستثمار والمحددات التي تؤثر في القرار الاستثماري، إضافة إلى التطرق للدخل التوازني من خلال تعريف مفهومه وتحديد مستواه. وتحدث المؤلفان عن آلية المضاعف، بداية من المضاعف البسيط، وانتقالاً إلى المضاعف الحكومي، فمضاعف التجارة الخارجية، كما تحدث عن مشكلتي التضخم والبطالة من حيث المفهوم، وطرق القياس، والأسباب والمشاكل المختلفة لكل منهما مع تطبيق مباشرعلى الأردن. كما تناول المؤلفان موضوع النقود والبنوك وكذلك الجهاز المصرفي والسياسة النقدية، إضافة إلى السياسة المالية وأدواتها المختلفة، وعالجا أيضاً موضوع التجارة الخارجية الدولية وموضوع سعر الصرف وميزان المدفوعات، ليختما كتابهما بالحديث عن موضوع التنمية الاقتصادية بشيء من التبسيط ليفهمه الطالب في هذا المستوى، و يمهد له لمزيد من الدراسة حول هذا الموضوع في مواد أخرى.
