Book Description
إن التعريف بمشاهير أهل اللغة العربية، له أهمية بالغة لطالبي العلوم العربية التي هي أساس العلوم الأخرى وقوامها، ومؤلف هذا الكتاب "محمد فقي رسول السويري" اختار نخبة مميزة بين أعيان هذا الفن متفق على فضلهم، وسعة تركتهم العلمية، وكل واحد منهم له مكانته في هذا الحقل من العلم.
وموضوع هذا الكتاب: مشاهير أهل اللغة في المشرق والمغرب ومصر، وهو تحقيق المؤلف في (الجزء السابع) من الموسوعة المخطوطة المعروفة باسم (مسالك الأبصار في ممالك الأمصار) لإبن فضل الله العمري، التي تتألف من سبعة وعشرين مجلداً، توصف بوصف علم بأنها موسوعة تاريخية، جغرافية، بيوغرافية، وتنقسم على قسمين رئيسيين، الأول في الأرض، والثاني في سكان الأرض، وينقسم القسم الأول بدوره على نوعين، النوع الأول في ذكر المسالك، والنوع الثاني في ذكر الممالك. أما القسم الثاني الذي يتعلق بسكان الأرض فبدوره ينقسم على أنواع منها: في الإنصاف بين المشرق والمغرب، ومنها في الديانات التي هي ست نحل، وأربع ملل، .. وغيرها من أنواع.
والموضوع قيد التحقيق في هذا الكتاب يقع في خمس وعشرين ورقة ضمن أوراق المجلد السابع من المخطوطة السابق ذكرها. وأولها: (بسم الله ... ثم كانت وزراء وكتاب مع من سميت، وبعضهم هم في خدمة الخلفاء والملوك، فمن لم يرضَ البرق شرابة في زناده، وللعنبر كذا الهندي مدة لمداده) ... وآخرها: (هي أم الأمين ذات المعالي من بني هاشم ذوي التأييد، إن كنتَ الهادي لمعناه حقاً حين لوحتَ لي بذكر الرشيد، وهذا آخر ما ختمنا أهل قطرنا).
وبشكل عام تبحث الأجزاء السبعة والعشرين للمخطوطة في جغرافية الأرض واقاليمها وبرها وبحرها والقبلة والأدلة عليها، كما تذكر ممالك الإسلام، والهند، وجنكزخان، والأتراك، ومصر والشام ... كما تتناول مشاهير القراء والمدثين والفقهاء وأهل اللغة والحكماء والأطباء في بلاد العجم والهند والشام ومصر وحكماء أهل الموسيقى ... كما تتناول حكام بين اسرائيل، وملوك الهند، والصين، والترك، والفرس، واليونان والسريان، وملوك العرب والخلفاء الراشدين، وخلفاء بني أمية ... والحروب الصليبية، وتذكر حوادث اليمن وبقية تأريخ الهجرة إلى سنة 744ه. ومن هنا تأتي أهميتها لاحتوائها على مختلف فنون العلم من جغرافيا، وتأريخ، وبيوغرافيا، وأدب، وقد احتوى الكتاب على نسخ مصورة من نسخة عمّان المصورة من المخطوطة: الجزء السابع.
