للصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فوائد شهادية حسية، ولطائف غيبية قلبية، وأنوار ربانية نفسية، ومن أمهات صيغ الصلاة والسلام على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الصلاة المشيشية وهي صيغة الشيخ عبد السلام بن مشيش، وهو علم من أعلام القرن السابع الهجري، حازت هذه الصيغة شهرة واسعة بين الصوفية وقلما نجد طريقة لا تقرأ هذه الصلاة كورد من أوراد.
وقد جعلت الطريقة الشاذلية هذه الصيغة ورداً رئيسياً من أورادها وسماها شيخ الطريقة ومؤسسها أبو الحسن الشاذلي بـ "صلاة الفتح والقرب". وقال بعض العلماء عنها أنها أفضل الصلاة على سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بعد الصلاة الإبراهيمية لما فيها من قوله "صلاة يليق بك منك إليه كما هو أهله". وبعد أن خرجها العراف الدرقاوي الحسيني بفتوحات الربانية بحيث يتعذر التميز بين الأصل والمزج، صار مجموعها يسمى الوظيفة الشاذلية.
وهذا الكتاب يصنع بين أيدي المسلمين والمؤمنين والمحسنين والمتوجهين إلى الله تعالى ثلاثة شروح لهذه الصيغة لثلاثة علماء كبار مشهود لهم بعلوم الشريعة والطريقة والحقيقة، والفقه والعقيدة والتصوف، العبادة والقصد والشهود على النحو التالي: "كشف الأسرار لتنوير الأفكار للعلامة مصطفى بن محي الدين نجا البيروتي. "الإلهامات الإلهية على الوظيفة الشاذلية"، للعلامة محمود أبو الشامات الدمشقي، والنفحات القدسية العلية يشرح الوظيفة الشاذلية "العلامة مصطفى أبو ريشة القادري البقاعي.
يتناول الكتاب صيغة من اهم صيغ الصلاة والسلام على الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وهي صيغة الشيخ عبد السلام بن مشيش وقد حازت هذه الصيغة على شهرة واسعة بين الصوفية وفقا لما نجد طريقة لا تقرا ثلاثة شروح لهذه الصيغة لثلاثة من العلماء الكبار المشهود لهم وهم الشيخ مصطفى البقاعي والشيخ مصطفى البيروتي والشيخ محمود ابو الشامات الدمشقي
