هذا الكتاب ليس مذكرات شخصية مؤلفه فحسب؛ بل يضم مواضيع سياسية وإجتماعية وقضائية عاصرها المؤلف، كما يضم أموراً شخصية مرتبطة بالشأن العام.
وبذلك يمكن اعتبار الكتاب تأريخاً وتحليلاً لقضايا مهمة عايشها المؤلف لفترة امتدت سبعين عاماً من تاريخ الأردن السياسي والإجتماعي والعلمي والقضائي وغيرها.
كما أنه يتحدث عن مدينة عمّان وتطورها، ويتعرض بالسرد والتحليل للعديد من التطورات المهمة التي مرت بها الأمة العربية من النواحي السياسية والإقتصادية والعسكرية، وغيرها.
كما يورد في خاتمة الكتاب خلاصة تضمنت إستنتاجاته التي توصل إليها عن الجهات التي تقرر حاضر العالم ومستقبله وعلاقتها بالأمة العربية: وهو في ذلك لا يدّعي أن هذه الإستنتاجات تمثل الحقيقة المطلقة؛ بل هي وجهة نظره الشخصية.
وفي سبيل تقديم صورة واضحة عن رؤاه وآرائه السياسية والإجتماعية والإقتصادية فقد ألحق المؤلف بالكتاب اثني عشر مقالاً كان قد نشرها في صحيفة الرأي الأردنية في الأعوام من 1992 إلى 1996 وكذلك في العام 2012 يحلل فيها طائفة من الأخبار والأحداث التي جرت في هذه المرحلة، وقد أرفق بين ثنايا الكتاب عدداً كبيراً من الصور التي تمثل مراحل مختلفة من حياته.
