هذا الكتاب يتضمن وقائع الندوة الفكرية التي نظمها المركز في بيروت في الفترة 21-22 شباط/فبراير 2017، وشارك فيها نخبة من الباحثين الصينيين والعرب والغربيين المتخصصين في الشؤون الصينية.
يأتي تنظيم مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية ندوةً خاصة بالعلاقات العربية - الصينية للبحث في تلك العلاقات، وفي أبعادها التاريخية وسبل الإفادة منها وتطويرها وتعميقها بما يواكب التحولات الكبرى في النظام الدولي التي تعزز الشروط الموضوعية لتعميق العلاقات العربية - الصينية على مختلف المستويات الاقتصادية والثقافية والعلمية، وبخاصة في ظل المكانة التي باتت الصين تحتلها في الاقتصاد العالمي وهي مكانة ستعكس نفسها حتماً على مكانتها الجيوسياسية والحضارية في العالم، ويدفعها بالتالي إلى المزيد من التشبيك الجيواقتصادي والجيوسياسي مع الكثير من مناطق العالم، فيأتي مشروع «حزام واحد - طريق واحد» الذي أطلقته الصين في هذا السياق. يقدم هذا الكتاب وقائع ندوة العلاقات العربية - الصينية التي عقدها مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية بالتعاون مع جامعة شنغهاي، والتي عقدت في بيروت بتاريخ 21 - 22 شباط/فبراير 2017 وشارك فيها نخبة من الباحثين الصينيين والعرب والغربيين المتخصصين في الشؤون الصينية.
يتضمن الكتاب عشرة فصول:
الفصل الاول بعنوان: "الإطار التاريخي والثقافي للعلاقات العربية - الصينية"، والفصل الثاني: "الصين ونموذجها في التنمية"، والفصل الثالث: "الموقف تجاه النظام الدولي وعناصر تغييره"، والفصل الرابع: "العلاقات الاقتصادية: الطاقة"، والفصل الخامس: "العلاقات الاقتصادية: طريق الحرير الجديد" والفصل السادس: "العلاقات الاقتصادية: التجارة والاستثمار والسياحة"، والفصل السابع: "العلاقات السياسية: القضايا العربية"، والفصل الثامن: "العلاقات السياسية: القضايا الصينية"، والفصل التاسع: "الصين والتنافس الجيوبوليتيكي في المنطقة: الحرب ضد الإرهاب"، والفصل العاشر: "العلاقات الثقافية والإعلامية".
